she is growing fast.

Another successful doctor's appointment...check!

Dave and I feel so blessed after we leave the doctor's office every month. It is a great relief to hear all positives and no negatives when talking to the doctor. My physician is very happy with the way I measure and the baby's progression. She has such a strong heartbeat. I tear a bit each time I hear it. And one thing is for sure...she is growing quick. Even as I write this, I think she is growing. I feel very stretched today! I am having a bit of trouble breathing...I think she pushes on my diaphram for fun, and needing to sit more often.

Big things are ahead for us. We are still debating on a name, and who her peditrician will be. But there is time...but these last 6 months have flown by, so I am feeling a bit pressured. One thing is for sure, we are as ready as we can be mentally (I hope). Every night comes a new discussion about our blessings and how we are offering our entire experience up to God. He is the one to guide us down this path, and He will keep us safe.

Thanks for all the words of wisdom so far...keep them coming.

  1. Hey- got your question about the bumper pad. My personal opinion- I love it. When they're small, it helps the crib to not seem so big. And I think it cuts down on drafts. Plus, at that time, they can't move or roll over so there's no harm. I will say that when Avery started to roll, we took it out because I got paranoid that she'd roll and into it face first and not be able to get out of it and then suffocate. However, after she became good at rolling, she also became good at losing her pacifier out of the crib. That's not fun in the middle of the night. So we put it back in and no we hardly lose paci's unless of course she starts launching them on purpose :) She also likes to back up to the bumper and sleep against it. When it wasn't in there, she would hit her head on the bars and sometimes wake herself up. So, just my thought, but it's definitely worth it. You can always take it out. As for the comforter, that's kind of useless to me just because it's so heavy and big, I won't put it in there with her. Maybe once we convert her crib to a toddler bed, we might have a use for it. Also, not sure if you've seen these, but if you're wanting a bumper but are worried about the suffocation factor, check this link out: http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=534464&parentCategoryId=85182&categoryId=85214&subCategoryId=86192
Hope that helps. Let me know if I can answer anything else! So excited for you!!

  2. I'm glad to hear your little girl is growing and healthy! I can't wait for your baby shower, i already got her some cute things that i hope you like. As for pediatricians i love mine and Mandy takes brendan there too, but idk if you want to drive all the way to St. Lukes. My sister in law goes to Dr. McBride and she is at 141 and bowles and my pediatricians family goes to her too.
